Air India data breach

A data breach affecting 4.5 million Air India customers has been disclosed. Passport and card information are among the data that was compromised. All those affected will be receiving communication from Air India. Those who travelled or registered with Air India between August 26, 2011 and February 20, 2021 may be affected.

While Air India states that there is no evidence of misuse of data, it is still highly recommended that you change your password, whether you think you were affected or not. It is good practice to change your passwords once every one to two months.

Apart from this breach, a good way to check if your account or password has been compromised is using Have I Been Pwned.
